representation of disablity or less-abled

Why is the clip funny?
this is funny as it shows wills reaction as funny not the less-abled person but in many ways this does show and have an impact on how funny a viewer may find the comedy in this certain part of the episode as the reaction caused by the catalyst looks and sounds like a funny way to respond as its very aqward scene as it shows a silence after will apologises in panic several times
How is the disabled girl being represented?
she is being shown as someone who is in a wheel chair where it is suggested she has a carer with her, in many ways she is presented as pathetic or pitiable as she is displaying and acting the way this ideology is described as she when she was faced with a Frisbee hitting her she has a breakdown  furthermore it is presented as humour because according to Paul hunts 10 aspects of disability we laugh at the misfortune of others and this has been the same way since the ancient greeks, this humour is d
based on a disability as it in a TV comedy it makes you automatically want to laugh
Are we meant to laugh at the disabled person?
in many way you could argue yes we do s we laugh at the misfortune of others furthermore we like to laugh as its not a common everyday thing so therefore we don't understand it so we laugh because in many ways we don't know how to react the less-abled person having break down however you could argue we're meant to laugh at will reaction as he panics and the scene gets very aqwardly silent as he stands there so he could b the reason why we laugh but we in many ways the less-abled person is apart of the joke but will is he main part of it
Are they the 'butt' of the joke?
the character 'will' is the base of the joke as he is the catalysed reaction to us laughing at the less-abled person  as he reacts in a way that panicked that we find funny so the less-abled person causes a cringe worthy scene is it goes silent and no really accepts an apology even though it is a accident
How do you think disabled people respond to this?
the less-abled would find this offensive as it shows them as pitiable and humorous when a condition or a disability isn't funny and they don't laugh as unlike us they understand what it is like the be less-abled and they don't find it funny as a society cultivated to think we should pity the disabled

  1. Josh you need to improve your writing; capital letters, apostrophes, full stops, commas, etc. You also need to check for sense. Some of your writing is very difficult to follow as it doesn't quite make sense. You also need to remember to look at the 4 areas of textual analysis when analysing representation in a clip.
